These Terms of Service govern your use of Southwood Studio courses, studio sessions, and related services. By accessing our content or purchasing any offering, you agree to these terms.
Definitions
- "Studio", "we", "us" means Southwood Studio and its authorized representatives.
- "Services" means online courses, live workshops, studio bookings, and related materials.
- "You", "user" means the individual or entity accessing or using the Services.
Eligibility
You must be at least the age of majority in your jurisdiction and have legal capacity to enter into this agreement. If you use the Services on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.
Accounts
Keep credentials confidential. You are responsible for activity under your account.
- Provide accurate registration details and keep them up to date.
- Notify us promptly of any unauthorized access or security incident.
- We may suspend or terminate accounts for violations of these terms.
Payments & Access
Course access activates upon successful payment. Prices and offerings may change with notice.
- Taxes and fees may apply based on your location and will be shown at checkout.
- For subscriptions, billing recurs at the stated interval until cancelled.
- Access is personal and non-transferable unless expressly permitted.
- We may update or retire content to maintain quality and relevance.
Failed or Disputed Payments
- We may pause access for failed charges until resolved.
- Chargebacks may result in immediate account review and suspension.
Cancellations & Refunds
Refunds are available within a reasonable window for unused courses; studio sessions have limited rescheduling.
- Self-paced courses: request a refund within 7 days if less than 20% of content is completed.
- Live workshops: full refund up to 48 hours prior; within 48 hours, credit may be issued at our discretion.
- Studio sessions: one reschedule permitted with at least 24 hours’ notice; no-shows are non-refundable.
- Refunds are returned to the original payment method when possible.
How to Request
To request cancellations or refunds, contact our support with your order details and reason for the request. We aim to respond within 2 business days.
Acceptable Use
- No illegal use or harassment.
- No unauthorized redistribution of course materials.
- Respect fellow learners and instructors.
- Do not attempt to bypass access controls or disrupt the Service.
- Do not upload malware, infringing, or harmful content.
- Do not use the Services for competitive surveillance or data mining beyond permitted usage.
Intellectual Property
- All content, including videos, texts, artwork, and lesson files, is owned by the Studio or licensors.
- Limited personal, non-commercial license is granted for enrolled users.
- Any reproduction, distribution, or public display requires prior written consent.
Disclaimers
The Services are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee specific learning outcomes, employment results, or uninterrupted availability.
- Content may include opinions and is for educational purposes only.
- You are responsible for ensuring compatibility of your device and software.
- We may perform maintenance that temporarily limits access.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Studio is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or loss of profits, data, or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the Service giving rise to the claim in the 3 months preceding the event.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold the Studio and its personnel harmless from claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses arising from your use of the Services, your content, or your violation of these terms or applicable law.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate access at any time for violations, fraud, non-payment, or risks to the Service. You may stop using the Services at any time. Sections relating to IP, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnification survive termination.
Privacy
We handle personal data in accordance with our privacy practices. We use cookies and similar technologies for functionality, analytics, and personalization. You can control certain preferences in your browser settings.
Governing Law & Disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of your local jurisdiction unless superseded by mandatory law. Disputes will be resolved through good-faith negotiations; if unresolved, they may be brought in competent courts where the Studio is established.
Changes
We may update these terms and will indicate the effective date.
- Material changes will be announced with reasonable notice.
- Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
